“Digital First” principle
The HERMES publication process follows the “Digital First” principle. Consequently, www.hermes.admin.ch is the leading source; only the content published there is binding and decisive for certification.
Copyright and reservation
HERMES is an open standard of the Swiss Federal Administration. The Swiss Confederation, represented by DTI, is the copyright holder. Personal use is governed by Article 19 of the Federal Act on Copyright and Related Rights (Federal Copyright Act, CopA, SR 231.1).
This edition may contain shortcomings or inconsistencies. Liability for damage and warranty for defects on the part of the Swiss Confederation is excluded, unless otherwise provided for by mandatory statutory provisions of the applicable law. Errors, problems, or suggested changes can be communicated to the publisher online via HERMES at www.hermes.admin.ch.
Note on gender equality in language
To make it more readable and comprehensible, this manual refers to roles and people in forms which are independent of a person's gender and positions in an organization. These formulations explicitly include all other genders in their respective function.
