Specialist
The business analyst forms the interface between the user and the developer/operator. He establishes and prioritizes user requirements based on business processes and transforms them into system requirements. These are used by the developer and operator as a basis for the design and operation of the product, service or IT system.

Responsibility

  1. Definition of business processes, establishment of complete requirements and assurance of the involvement of specialists, user representatives and business process owners
  2. Systematic documentation of the outcomes with suitable methods
  3. Transfer of the requirements to those responsible for further processing

Skills

  1. In-depth knowledge of the specialist area
  2. Knowledge of the specifications of the core organization for the project and the operation of the application (e.g. for procurement, financing, controlling, security)
  3. In-depth knowledge of business analysis and the associated methods and techniques
  4. Business administration knowledge for evaluating options and cost-effectiveness
  5. Ability to establish, evaluate and prioritize requirements
  6. Project management knowledge
  7. In-depth knowledge of HERMES, attested to by a certificate
  8. Ability to work in a team, to communicate and to resolve conflicts
  9. Good writing skills, e.g. to document requirements
  10. Management of specialists in his area of responsibility
